UNDERGROUND TRANSFORMER: AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION IN BUSINESS

In 2017, CRC was given an absolutely unique task: a special order from the largest cooper producer in Kazakhstan for the conversion of the Cat® 980L surface loader for underground operations.

This order arose due to the fact that ground machines are faster in movement and, as a result, more efficient in operation compared to undergound ones. Large passages in the Customer's shafts allowed a machine of this size to wasily move inside the mines and at the same time perform its work as efficiently as possible. And our team got down to business.

More than three months of cohesive work of the team allowed to realize the Customer's request. The result of all the work was the 980UMA loader: indispensable and the fastest in the underground special loading of copper one, which, working in difficult conditions, meets all the requirements of reliability, service life and productivity. The capacity of the CRC and the accumulated experience allow us to produce three converted underground loaders 980UMA every month. To date, 55 completely new underground loaders have been converted.
