Borusan Cat Kazakhstan has introduced BAUER vertical mining technology with Cat® engine for the first time in the country

Borusan Cat Kazakhstan – authorized Cat® special purpose machinery dealer and  BAUER Maschinen GmbH distributor has announced launch of the first in Kazakhstan vertical mining system at Ayatskoye bauxite mine operated by Aluminiy Kazakhstana JSC (Aluminium of Kazakhstan) (member of ERG). The equipment was officially commissioned on June 5, 2026.


This project is a significant milestone for Kazakhstan’s mining industry. It offers a solution for extracting ore reserves left in steep pit slopes and bottom during the final mining stages. Under such conditions traditional mining methods require large-scale stripping operations and significant expenses.

In line with our mission “WE CREATE SOLUTIONS FOR A BETTER WORLD” the experts from Borusan Cat Kazakhstan conducted market analysis and presented an innovative technological solution to the Customer. The Company presented BAUER special purpose vertical milling cutter tailored to the mine's specific mining and geological conditions.  

The project’s specific feature is integration of BAUER technology with Cat® C15 engine ensuring equipment reliability in harsh climates with support from Borusan Cat Kazakhstan service network.
